Hiiiiiiiiiii Sis,
FALL is finally hereeeeeeeee!
I must say, if you couldn’t tell already, this is my favorite time of the year and I’m sure it is for you too! The leaves are changing, the air is cooler, and the days feel a little shorter. When I think of fall, I think of cozy moments, hot teas, lattes, tasty soups, sweet candle aromas, and the beauty of slowing down.
This season reminds me that some things fall away, some things shift, but through it all, God is steady. In this season of “falling,” God is inviting us to draw closer to Him and to lean into His unchanging love. Because beyond the warmth of the season lies a deeper truth: in our own personal “falls”—our weaknesses, our struggles, and even our failures—Our Father’s love never changes. In fact, it is in the falling that we can most certainly see the steadfastness of His love and grace.
Before we dive into today’s devotional, I declare and decree that God’s love will be revealed to you afresh, that your heart will be covered in His peace, and that this season will draw you into a deeper, more intimate relationship with Jesus. In His mighty Name, Amen.
Our Fall:
“But God demonstrates his love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8 NIV)
As we know, the very first “fall” didn’t have to do with weather at all. It was the fall of mankind in the garden of Eden. Adam and Eve made a choice that separated them from God, and from that moment on, humanity has been living with the effects of that fall. But here’s the good news: God’s love stepped in immediately. He didn’t leave us in our brokenness, He made a way through Jesus.
Today’s devotional, Our Fall, His Love, is a reminder that even in our lowest moments, God’s love doesn’t turn away. Instead, He meets us right where we are and lifts us back up. God does not condemn us, shame us, or force us into loving Him. He gives us the gift of free will, hoping we’ll use it to walk in His word.
I can think back on so many moments in my own life—especially in my late teens and early 20s—when I was just trying to figure out who I was. Nights spent worrying about fitting in, saying “yes” to things I probably shouldn’t, giving in to temptations, and putting my own desires above what God wanted for me. Simply put, I was jeopardizing every blessing He had already given me and every blessing He had yet to give.
Even in those “falling” moments, the enemy may have been celebrating, but my Father was still loving me and I didn’t even realize it. Back then, and still today, it has been only God’s steady love that comes in like a rushing wind, lifting me up whenever I fall.
Know this, Sis: Our mistakes and struggles don’t get the final word, His love does. His love redeems, heals, restores, delivers, and does so much more.
His Love:
“Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.” (1 Peter 4:8 NIV)
This verse is such a beautiful reminder of how powerful God’s love really is. When we fall, we often expect punishment or rejection but instead, God covers us with grace. His love doesn’t overlook our sin, but it does cover it through the sacrifice of Jesus.
Think about that: every mistake, every wrong turn, every moment we thought we were too far gone—His love was already covering it. That’s why no fall is too deep for Him to reach us. His love lifts, restores, and reminds us that we are never beyond His redemption.
And Sis, I just need you to know this: YOU are so loved by God. Not just on your best days when everything feels put together, but on the messy ones too. His love for you is steady, unwavering, and unconditional. When you fall, He doesn’t turn His back on you. He runs toward you with open arms.
As we step into this devotional series together, my prayer is that you don’t just read about His love but that you experience it in a fresh and personal way. This fall season, I want to invite you to fall in love with Jesus all over again. I’m beyond grateful that you’re here with me, and I’m genuinely excited to see how God will reveal His love to you in new ways during this journey.
Be blessed Beloved, for you are a WRITTEN MIRACLE oh-so loved by The Most High!
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, My God in Heaven,
I thank You, Lord, for reminding me that even in my lowest moments, Your love never lets me go. From the very beginning, when humanity first fell in the garden, You had a heart to redeem us through Jesus. Thank You that Your love covers a multitude of sins and that nothing I’ve done or will do can separate me from Your grace.
Lord, help me to see Your love in a deeper way this season. Teach me to release shame, guilt, and the weight of my past falls, and instead rest in the truth that You are always for me. Let this fall season be a fresh reminder that I am fully known, fully forgiven, and fully loved by You.
I pray that my heart would grow deeper in love with Jesus. May Your Spirit guide me, strengthen me, and continually remind me that Your love is greater than any fall I could ever face.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
